....delete my Facebook (for those of you asking). I have been debating it for a while for several reason but when I got this email from a friend and it left me with no doubt. Read this and make of it what you will but it is pretty scary. Here is the email..........

For those of you who decided against there better judgment and opened a facebook/myspace acct. like i did, this is some info. that was given to us at church last night from a man who works for the Harris county computer crime division... The guys who catch the nasty people who solicit our children.. If you are like me and proud of your kids/grandkids and like to show them off, the internet is NOT the place to do it... As of now everything that is on fb is the property of fb and they keep it on file forever!!! Also for those teens out there who like to put silly/un-tasteful pictures of them selves and others on the site you might think is is cut now but when you have worked really hard and graduated from college and trying to get a job w/ the school district, police dpt., gov. etc. they will more than likely not hire you if you are being silly and throwing out a gang sign, holding a gun, etc. or saying something distasteful on your pg. This is becoming more and more common for them to look for these things before hiring a teacher/govt. worker or police officer.. So remember, it is on the web for EVER and they are more than happy to hand it over to the cops..... Also back to the pictures of our precious children the hackers/child predators can find them in a heart beat with your email address... They can find out where you live and for those who like to tell people on fb what they are doing hr. by hr. you are even helping them figure out if you are home or where in your house or out of town you are... These people are smart and no what they are doing!!!! Now even through play stations big or hand held your children have access to send pictures and info. to these nasty people, oh and the web-cams on the computers..... ANY ONE who is intelligent enough, hackers, child predators, cops can plug in and see what you are doing at any time, so the cops suggest you always unplug or put tape over the built in ones unless you like to be watched.. I was floored when i found all this out so i would not be able to live with my self if i did not share with all my friends... Also a good point he had was if your kids cant tell you on there pg. or when they are I.M quick who they are talking to, like know them from school or church they do NOT need to be talking to them he said the kids want to say "but he/she is my friend" !!! Tell them if you cant ever see them, touch them bring them to meet your parents, they are not your friend!!!! Its cool to them to see how many people/friends they can have so they will accept anyone to beat out having the most friends. Also watch what you and your kids email address name is anything w/ something like sam13blueeyes@yahoo is a HUGE flashing light for children predators because they see more than likely there age,gender and that they have blue eyes... And if you/they use there entire name in email address, like i do they can figure out where you live with in seconds!!! Just a few things i learned and was very haunted by... Also the new cell phones with internet are not any safer, he told a story that a 13 yr. old boy had a phone his parents bought him and b/c it has internet access some lady found him and became his friend and posed as a parent over the phone and called the phone company and had them come out and put a hard line phone in at the boys house in her name so they could talk all them time and the bill would go to her and the parents would never know!!! They busted her at Bush airport she was coming to see him, Scary stuff!!!!!!!!!! Just wanted to share, food for thought...Not judging i have now /had one of these things but to me it's not worth it!!!!
